Area counties could receive nearly $12 million in capital outlay

The following capital outlay requests have been passed by the New Mexico Legislature but are still subject to approval from Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, according to Rep. Randy Crowder, R-Clovis:

Curry County

• Clovis Seventh Street improvements — $1 million

• Clovis Community College electrical upgrades — $600,000

• Eastern New Mexico Food Bank lighting — $50,000

• Eastern New Mexico Food Bank paving — $150,000

• Friendship Senior Center HVAC — $115,000

• La Casa Family Health Center roof replacement — $250,000

• Clovis Main Street parking lot construction — $575,000

• Clovis MainStreet district improvements — $100,000

• Clovis railroad district parking — $250,000

• Curry County Events Center parking lot improvements — $165,000

• Ranchvale Volunteer Fire Department building construction — $400,000

• Curry County road improvements — $1.05 million

• Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard improvements — $300,000

• Melrose City Hall improvements — $30,000

• Melrose Municipal Schools activity bus — $150,000

• Texico water tank improvements — $240,000

Total: $5,425,000

Roosevelt County

• Elida Municipal Schools activity bus — $193,000

• Elida street improvements — $100,000

• Eastern New Mexico University code blue equipment — $66,000

• ENMU Greyhound Arena improvements — $750,000

• ENMU campuswide infrastructure and safety improvements — $700,000

• ENMU KENW equipment — $250,000

• ENMU maintenance equipment — $135,000

• ENMU president’s residence construction — $650,000

• Floyd Municipal Schools shed construction — $100,000

• Portales Kilgore Avenue improvements — $371,000

• Roosevelt County Detention Center kitchen and laundry renovation and equipment — $275,000

• Roosevelt County Fairgrounds Americans with Disabilities Act compliance — $100,000

• Roosevelt County motor graders purchase — $450,000

• Roosevelt County road improvements — $383,000

• Roosevelt General Hospital emergency room expansion — $125,000
