County manager appointed to state commission

SANTA FE — Roosevelt County’s manager is now the newest member of the state’s Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission.

According to a news release, the commission is comprised of “seven lawyers and eight non-lawyers” appointed by the Supreme Court for staggered terms. It was established in 1997 as a “volunteer, non-partisan commission to improve the performance of New Mexico’s judges...”

Hamilton has been county manager since 2014 and holds a Master of Arts in Communications from Eastern New Mexico University, according to the release Saturday from JPEC.
