Clovis commission to hold special meeting

CLOVIS — The Clovis city commission will hold a special meeting 5:15 p.m. Tuesday at the North Annex of the Clovis-Carver Public Library.

The meeting will cover three topics:

• An update to the operating and use agreement between the city and the Curry Resident Senior Meals Association for the Friendship Senior Center, as requested by the state’s aging and long-term services department.

• Consideration of an application for 2020 state general obligation bonds for construction of a new senior center at Hillcrest Park. The current projected cost for Phase I of the facility is $5.85 million. If awarded, the city would be required to provide a $250,000 match.

The first phase of the project is a 16,180 square foot building that would house CRSMA, the city’s senior services department, activity areas and additional programs.

• Discussion and possible action regarding the progress of an EPCOR water rate proceeding before the state’s public regulation commission.
