Local banker honored
CLOVIS — Richard Hadley, vice president at Citizens Bank of Clovis, was named the Independent Community Bankers Association of New Mexico ag lender of the year.
Hadley was presented the award during the 2019 Ag Lenders Conference held March 28-29 in Deming.
An employee of The Citizens Bank of Clovis since 1981, Hadley serves as the Texico branch manager.
Clovis selected for roadshow
Clovis has been selected as a stop on the Dairy Together Roadshow, according to a release from the Wisconsin Farmers Union.
The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 2 at the Curry County Extension Building. Lunch will be provided.
It is the final meeting of nine meetings being held in seven states.
The roadshow will unveil research on several potential supply management programs’ impacts on net farm operating income, farm numbers, domestic demand and cost to the government versus the current Margin Protection Program.
