Portales plans sidewalk improvements

PORTALES — Sidewalk improvements at the corner of Main and West Second streets are scheduled to begin on or after Monday, according to a news release from the city.

The project, which will improve the sidewalk regarding Americans with Disabilities Act standards, is anticipated to take two week. Crews will try to maintain access to businesses, but will prioritize citizen safety during construction, the release said. Main Street access will be closed to the Do Drop In, but the restaurant will still be open to the public via its Second Street entrance.
