Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
My name is Magdalena Ramirez. I have worked for Clovis Municipal Schools for 19 1/2, years all at Los Niños. One of the years we moved to the Lincoln Jackson building to combine family literacy and early intervention. This year was my last year as an educational assistant. I am a Lela of two beautiful girls.
What would you do if you won $1 million?
I always want to help someone who is in dire need. I would help them be debt free and have a new start.
What is your most prized possession?
Things that reach back into my heritage like my Dad's bible and my Mom's book of her favorite sayings in Spanish.
What's your idea of a perfect day?
My perfect day would be a day all is well in everyone's world.
If you could have a super power, what would it be and why?
I had it already! I'm retiring from it now!
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
My heart has always been with kids. I have worked at the church nursery, the school, I even did tutoring at some kid's home. Now that I'm all grown up I get to be a Lela!
What does your garden grow?
I don't have a garden, but I will now that I have time to work on my flowers. I look forward to getting my hands dirty in the soil.
How would you like to be remembered?
I think the best way I would like to be remembered would be as a good friend, confidant, a shoulder to cry on, that someone that can help you get through a rough day.
What do you hope your life will be like in 10 years?
Do you know how old I will be in 10 years? I hope I can see my family through what God wants for them, to be solid in His plans for them. Nothing in the world matters, except family and I want them to succeed.
