PORTALES — The Portales City Council will hold a presentation and public hearing for the 2019-20 budget during its Tuesday meeting at the Memorial Building.
Other items on the agenda for the 6:30 p.m. meeting include:
• Appointment of Portales’ two representatives for the Eastern New Mexico Water Utility Authority board. The roles are currently filled by Mayor Ron Jackson and Councilor Jim Lucero.
• A joint powers agreement between the Portales Police Department and Portales Municipal Schools for its school resource officer program.
• A request for outside sewer service for 501 Broadmoor Acres.
• Introduction of an ordinance covering collective bargaining rights, responsibilities and procedures for the city.
