Convenience center to be closed

PORTALES — The city of Portales will close its convenience center for trash dropoff at 1 p.m. Friday, according to a city release.

The center will reopen at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Located at 1230 N. Avon Ave., the center allows city residents free disposal of large and small items for free. Non-Portales residents are subject to a fee, depending on the volume and type of items.
