Clovis woman killed in crash

RUIDOSO — A Clovis woman was killed and two people were injured Friday night when a car drove through a Ruidoso restaurant, according to a release from the New Mexico State Police.

Tammy Lynn Ford, 58, died on the scene at the Farley’s restaurant. According to the NMSP release:

• A 70-year-old Ruidoso woman, who was not identified in the release, was attempting to leave the restaurant parking lot in a 2002 Honda. For reasons still under investigation, the car accelerated and drove into the restaurant.

• The vehicle struck three people — Ford, a 58-year-old male airlifted to an unidentified hospital with potential life-threatening injuries and a 75-year-old female who was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

• The driver was not injured in the crash. No charges have been filed in connection with the crash as of Saturday.
