Making cards, wardrobe planning ahead on show

Information on making cards and wardrobe planning will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and noon Thursday (all times Mountain).

Susan Legits, an independent demonstrator with Stampin’ Up, will show how to make a simple card and then use stamps, ink and paper to step it up with a little layering to make the card different. Then she’ll do the process again with other supplies to make the card even better. Legits is from Albuquerque.

Author, wardrobe consultant and designer Nancy Nix-Rice knows that most women wear the same few outfits over and over again. She’s going to explain how to create a color column and then add accessories, different tops and bottoms and scarves to create flattering new outfits. Nix-Rice lives in St. Louis.

Information on needle felting and creating a marbleized effect on fabric will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” noon Tuesday and 2 p.m Saturday.

Michele Muska is with the Simplicity Creative Group, and she’s going to demonstrate the new 12 needle deluxe electric felting machine as she makes some beautiful felted cuffs to wear as bracelets or to attach to garments. She’s from Antioch, Tennessee.

Evelyn Terhune is the former owner of Ozark Crafts in Gilbert, Arkansas, and she’s going to show how to use ordinary shaving cream and acrylic paints to create a marbleized effect on fabric which can then be used for a variety of projects
