PORTALES — Roosevelt County Commissioners will this week consider approving a state tourism department grant to the tune of $9,425. The funds are through the "Litter Control and Beautification Act" and detail a "state-coordinated plan of education, control, prevention, and elimination," according to meeting packet documents. The agreement would be effective through June 2020.
Also on deck for the commission meeting, 9 a.m. at the county courthouse:
• A presentation from the state Dept. of Health on Roosevelt County healthcare. Meeting packet documents state the Healthcare Assistant Program (HCAP) received $34, 654 in claims of which $23,209 was approved from May 2018 through mid-September.
• Request for approval of bid award to Wagner Equipment Co. for two motor graders to the tune of $489,000.
• Executive session for the discussion of threatened or pending litigation.
