RANCHVALE — Curry County will hold a groundbreaking ceremony at 8 a.m. Wednesday for the Ranchvale Fire Station, according to a release from the county.
The new station is one of four rural stations funded by the county, joining Field, Broadview and Pleasant Hill.
The new station is a 6,400-square-foot pre-engineered metal building with three garage bays for fire trucks, an office, a common area with a kitchen and a meeting room.
The station was funded through $400,000 in capital outlay from the state, with the county covering an extra $3,144.56.
The station is scheduled to open in May.
