Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
The Curry and Roosevelt county Offices of Substance Abuse Prevention are partnering with local law enforcement for a prescription drug take-back day Saturday, according to releases from each county.
In Clovis, drugs can be disposed 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at either Roden-Smith Pharmacy at 305 Llano Estacado Blvd. or Walgreens at 100 E. 21st St.
The pharmacies will accept sharps, pills, patches and e-cigarettes or other vaping devices with a removable battery.
The county collected 109 pounds of expired and unused medications during its April take-back event.
In Portales, the take-back event will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Roosevelt County Courthouse parking lot.
