PORTALES — Eastern New Mexico University made a slight move up in the American Football Coaches Association Division II poll, taking four points in the receiving votes category Monday morning.

The Greyhounds, who moved to 5-2 on the season with a 48-17 win at Western New Mexico, garnered one point in the Oct. 14 poll.

The poll includes four Lone Star Conference teams. Tarleton State remains fourth, Angelo State moved up three places to 22nd and Texas A&M-Commerce moved down three places to a tie for 23rd.

West Texas A&M, who is visiting the Greyhounds this weekend for the 6 p.m. Saturday Wagon Wheel Game, fell out of the receiving votes category after its 17-14 home loss to Angelo State.

Valdosta State remains No. 1 with 30 of the 31 first-place votes. Tarleton State took the remaining first-place tally.
