Police warn against threat of theft

CLOVIS — The Clovis Police Department is reminding residents that the holiday season is one in which to take extra precautions to avoid home and vehicle burglaries.

The CPD advises:

• Locking doors to vehicles and homes

• Making arrangements to have packages delivered while somebody is home to avoid “porch pirates.”

• Breaking from shopping trips to take high-value purchases home.
