Terry, Vargas named to all-regional second team

PORTALES — Eastern New Mexico seniors Paul Terry and Tyler Vargas have been named 2019 D2CCA All-Super Region Four Second Team selections.

Terry, a first-team selection last season, was a first-team All-Lone Star Conference selection at running back He led the LSC in rushing and was second in Division II with a school-record Default 12/7/19 1,888 yards.

Vargas, who made the all-region third team last season, grabbed spots on the All-Lone Star Conference team as a first-team kicker and second-team punter. He made 13 of 18 field goals and converted all but two of his conversion attempts. He posted a pair of game-winning field goals against Midwestern State and then No. 21 Angelo State.

In total, the LSC had 22 representatives on the team.
