PORTALES — Portales High’s basketball teams will host the Portales Shootout this weekend at the Ram Athletic Center.
Four games are scheduled each day from Thursday through Saturday, alternating girls and boys contests starting at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The Lady Rams and Rams will play the final two games each night.
The PHS boys were 5-5 heading into a Tuesday home game against Texico. They’ll face Andrews, Texas (8-8) on Thursday, Lubbock Christian (6-4) on Friday and District 4-4A rival Lovington (7-3) on Saturday.
The Lady Rams carried a 6-3 record into a Tuesday night contest at Roswell High. They are slated to face Gallup (7-4) on Thursday, followed by Pojoaque (9-2) and Carlsbad (8-3).
Also, the Rams’ junior varsity and C teams are slated to face Lubbock Christian on Thursday in the back gym at the RAC. The C team game is set for 2:30 p.m. with the JV clash slated for 5:30 p.m.
