Closures scheduled at rail crossings

Due to new rail installations, there will be various closures at BNSF rail crossings over the next three weeks, according to a release from RoadSafe Traffic Systems.

Work began on Thursday and will run through Feb. 5. Signs will indicate detour routes. Motorists are asked to be aware of road and rail crews in the areas and to plan for travel delays.

The following closures are scheduled:

• Portales, NM 480 — Has begun, will run 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. through Thursday.

• Portales, West 18th St. — 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27-30.

• Portales Mobile Home Park Drive — 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Jan. 24, 27-30.

• Clovis: Curry Road 8 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Jan. 31-Feb. 3.

• Clovis: Brady Street, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Feb. 4-5.
