New management at events center

The Curry County Events Center has a new general manager aboard, according to a release from management company Spectra.

Kadee Hande began her position Jan. 13. She comes to Curry County with a dozen years of industry experience.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Spectra team at Curry County Events Center, and to roll my sleeves up and get started in this great community,” Hande said in a release. “As we kickoff this new year, we’ll take a look at enhancing the venue’s big-name events, like the upcoming 100th Curry County Fair, as well as improving and expanding our year-round offerings for the Clovis community.”

Hande is a native of Rhame, North Dakota, and has various experience including the Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo in South Dakota and time with the Rodeo Managers Association. She also served as an honorary commander for Ellsworth Air Force Base.

“With Kadee’s professionalism, hands-on experience in similar markets, and her proven successes, we trust that she is the right community partner for us,” County Manager Lance Pyle said in the release. “We look forward to continued collaboration with Kadee and the Spectra team at Curry County Events Center and Fairgrounds.”
