Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
CLOVIS — After a week out of service, Clovis Municipal Schools has decided to resume grab-and-go meal service for school-aged children at Sandia Elementary, beginning 8 a.m. Monday.
Meals will be given 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. weekdays, with breakfast and lunch provided at the same time.
The district had closed Sandia following a potential risk of exposure to COVID-19, but determined the site to be essential with approximately 100 students served daily and the nearest school a mile away.
The district has enacted COVID-19 exposure protocols, disinfected the facility and made sure all potential exposure concerns were addressed, school officials said.
