The United States Lawn Mower Racing Association, which appeared during last year's Curry County Events Center 10-year celebration, is scheduled to return for the Curry County Fair Aug. 14-15. The fair runs Aug. 11-15.
CLOVIS - The Curry County Fair will feature an exhibition race by the United States Lawn Mower Racing Association, according to a county news release.
Admission to the event, slated for Aug. 14-15, will be included in general fair admission. Prices are $7 for ages 13-55, $6 for 55 and older, $3 for children 5-12 and no charge for children under 5.
The lawn mower races were part of the Curry County Events Center's 10-year celebration in October, and the event's popularity encouraged fair organizers for a repeat performance.
The USLMRA is holding competition in nine states, with Clovis the last scheduled stop, to qualify for the association finals in Oregon.
The fair is set for Aug. 11-15.
