Portales continues water valve installation

The city of Portales is notifying residents the intersection of West Ivy and North Avenue L will be closed starting Monday to continue work on a water valve installation for the Portales Fire Department substation.

Work will interrupt water service beginning Tuesday. The release noted the work would take several days, and did not detail what areas of the city would be impacted or how long service issues would last.

Motorists are asked to plan travels away from the south side of Lindsey-Steiner Middle School.
