CLOVIS — The Clovis Community College Board of Trustees will have what is expected to be its final meeting of the 2019-20 academic year Wednesday with an 8 a.m. virtual meeting planned.
The virtual meeting is being set up due to ongoing restrictions on mass gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic. Guidance to access the meeting broadcast will be online at http://www.clovis.edu/about/administration.aspx.s
Items on the Wednesday agenda include:
• Appointment of Mark Carpenter, Rick Switzer and Megan Palla to the CCC labor management relations board.
• Budget adjustments to account for federal dollars received from the CARES Act.
• A report from TRIO Student Support Services Director Katrina Walley.
• An update to the 2020-21 CCC catalog, with revisions including a message from the president, various program description changes and deletions of references to classes no longer offered or needed.
• An open meetings notice resolution, as required by state statute. The resolution includes the requirement to publish a list of scheduled meetings in the 2020-21 fiscal year. With the exception of July and January, meetings are scheduled for 8 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month.
• A five-year capital improvements plan, as required by the New Mexico Higher Education Department. Projects include fire alarm and sprinkler system upgrades and draining issues on the west campus in 2020 and HVAC improvements over the following three years. The board will also consider separate project requests to the state for the 2020 items.
• An executive session to discuss personnel matters. There is no action item for the board following the closed session.
