CCC making plans to reopen campus to public

CLOVIS — The city’s community college is making plans to reopen its campus to the public, beginning Monday.

According to the release from Clovis Community College:

• The CCC Health and Fitness Center will be open 6 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4 p.m.-6 p.m. weekdays, and will be closed 1 p.m.-4 p.m. for cleaning.

• The center will operate at 50% capacity with no group activities, face-to-face classes or aquatic activities.

• The tennis courts will be partially open, with only the two end courts to be used for social distancing purposes.

• Gym entrance will only be allowed through the east parking lot, and there will be temperature checks, face masks and screening required.

• The public can still sign up for access to the gym by signing up for CCC’s PHED 1610 Fitness for Life course.

The cosmetology clinic and esthetics spa will also be open Monday:

• Hours will be 8:15 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday by appointment only at 575-769-4100.

• The clinic and spa will adhere to a 25% capacity requirement, with temperature checks, face masks and screening questions required.

Classes also start Monday, with classes to be handled through a mix of online and face-to-face virtual instruction.
