Curry to consider financial report

CLOVIS — The Curry County Commission will consider a financial report for the fourth quarter of the 2019-20 fiscal year in its regular meeting Tuesday morning.

The 9 a.m. meeting will be held virtually due to state public health orders restricting mass gatherings, and will be streamed at currycounty.org and the county Facebook page. Comments or questions can be directed to County Manager Lance Pyle at [email protected] prior to the meeting.

The meeting will include a presentation on the fourth-quarter finances, with separate agenda items to certify the financial report and the county’s 2019-20 capital asset inventory.

Other items on the Tuesday agenda include:

• Reports from the adult detention center and road department, and a presentation on county results for the 2020 New Mexico Community Survey.

• Action on the operating budget for the Curry County Events Center and Fairgrounds for 2020-21.

• An eight-item consent agenda, including contracts between the state and the Curry County Retired and Senior Volunteer and Foster Grandparent programs with 10% local matches totaling $5,120, a $3,000 yearlong contract with Rooney Moon Broadcasting for wildfire prevention education, an $832.50 change order on a re-roofing project at La Casa Senior Center and a memorandum of understanding allowing the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish to trap shrews in county right-of-ways.

• An indigent board meeting with nine claims — eight dental, one medical —totaling $652.60.
