Two badly injured in one-vehicle accident

CLOVIS - Two men from Cannon Air Force Base were in critical but stable condition Tuesday following a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning, according to the Clovis Police Department.

According to a CPD release:

• Crews from the Clovis police and fire departments were dispatched at 7:06 a.m. to the 3000 bock of La Fonda Road. Upon arrival they found a white Nissan which had left the roadway, impacted a vehicle parked in a driveway and then hit and uprooted a tree.

• The driver, Stephen Caseman, 29, and the passenger, Gabriel Lomas, 21, were transported to Plains Regional Medical Center. After they were stabilized, Caseman was transported to an Amarillo facility, while Lomas was transported to a Lubbock facility. Both remain at those faciilties in ICU units.

• The accident remained under investigation Tuesday.
