C.D. "Spud" and Laura Beth (Cook) Newberry of Clovis celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Nov. 19 at their home.
The two were married Nov. 19, 1955, at Missionary Baptist Church in Morton, Texas, in a two-ring ceremony.
He is retired after 40 years with McDaniel's Floor Covering. She is retired after 25 years with the Clovis Municipal Schools food services.
They have three children, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. They are the perfect example of what a marriage should be.
