State launches website for vaccine updates

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Health has launched a website to enable New Mexicans to find out when they qualify for the COVID-19 vaccine.

The website is available at cvvaccine.nmhealth.org.

The state is currently in Phase 1A of vaccine distribution, with doses going to health care workers and staff and residents of long-term care facilities.

Registrants will receive an email notifying them they will receive an email and/or a text message when the vaccine becomes available.

“We are eager to distribute vaccine doses as quickly as we can,” Health Secretary-Designate Tracie C. Collins said in a release, “but that depends on the timeline of shipments from the federal government. This website will enable New Mexicans to sign up for vaccine doses — or to find out as soon as they qualify to receive them.”

The state’s goal is for every New Mexican to be able to easily receive a COVID-19 vaccination once supplies allow it, and expects to have thousands of providers throughout the state — including doctor’s offices, retail pharmacies, hospitals, federally qualified health care centers and community locations.
