Lesley Riley is an author and designer, and she s going to show how to make collages that are a quick and fun way to commemorate a special day, person, place or time, and most importantly use up old scraps or recycle old clothing, curtains or tablecloths. You can frame them and proudly hang your fragment Fabric collage on your w all. Riley lives in Cascade, Maryland.

Marisa Pawelko is a designer and events coordinator, and she represents Westcott Brand Cutting Tools, Imagine Crafts and Tsukineko Inks. She s going to demonstrate how to create a quick and easy tee-shirt scarf using various cutting tools. The scarf can be embellished and customized in several ways. She s from Winfield, Illinois.
Designer and digitizer Laura Waterfield is the owner of Laura s Sewing Studio, and she s going to demonstrate insertion lace machine embroidery which creates an heirloom design that can be done on most fabrics. The secret to this technique is to use a wing needle. She lives in Tomball, Texas.
Quick Italian chicken and rice
1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. olive oil
2 cans (14 Ω oz. ea.) diced tomatoes with basil, garlic & oregano
3 bags (3.5 oz. ea.) Success White or Brown Rice
1 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
2 cups chicken, cooked & dice
Prepare rice according to package directions. For three boil-in-bag packages, be sure to use a large enough saucepan to totally submerge each boil-in-bag. Combine mushrooms, garlic, and olive oil in large skillet; cook 3 minutes. Add undrained tomatoes; cook 3 minutes on medium-high heat. Stir in cooked rice, parmesan cheese, and chicken; heat through. Serves 4 to 6.
