CLOVIS — The city of Clovis finished with its second round of applications for CARES Act small business continuity grants, with $1.136 million awarded to 104 businesses, according to a city release.
“I am glad the second round of funding assistance provided much needed help to local businesses,” Mayor Mike Morris said in the release. “As we provided checks to them earlier this week it was very clear that this funding assistance for Clovis’ small businesses was of great benefit.”
The two rounds accounted for the disbursement of $4.26 million in CARES Act dollars. The Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce, through a $60,000 contract with the city, aided in the application process.
