RICHARDSON, Texas — Eastern New Mexico University did not compete in Lone Star Conference athletics in the fall semester, but they were honored for their work in the classroom all the same.
A total of 131 student-athletes for the Green and Silver were named to the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the semester, according to a release from the LSC office.
The honor roll requires student-athletes be on their team’s roster for the semester in question and hold a minimum grade point average of 3.3. A total of 2,254 student-athletes were on the list, led by Texas-Tyler with 176 selections.
Among Greyhound programs, the football team had the most selections with 31, followed by baseball with 18 and men’s soccer with 16.
The conference had 692 student-athletes earn perfect 4.0 GPAs in the semester, including 131 from ENMU. The top programs for ENMU in that regard were baseball and football with seven apiece.
