CLOVIS - The Clovis Community College Cultural Arts Series will have its first performance of the season Tuesday, when classical music trio Take 3 provides a virtual performance.
The 7 p.m. streaming performance is the first performance that will be covered under the series' Virtual Access Pass. The pass is available for $19.50, and will cover the Take 3 show and any virtual Cultural Arts Series performances for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.
Kolby Rains, director of institutional advancement for the college, said the college hopes to do one monthly event until April. Virtual Access Passes are available through the CCC Cashier's Office at 575-769-4035.
Take 3 includes the following musicians, according to the group's website:
• Lindsay Deutsch, violin: Deutsch studied at the Coburn Conservatory in Los Angeles, and plays on an 1845 Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume violin. She has toured with Yanni and has had various concerts throughout North America, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan and Abu Dhabi, with future dates in Indonesia and China.
• Lauren Jelencovich, vocal: Jelencovich, a former "Star Search" winner, is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music. She has various performances to her credits, including PBS specials and performances at Radio City Music Hall and Carnegie Hall.
• Lila Yang, cello: Yang attended The Julliard School in 2008 and was part of a string trio that toured internationally to give master classes and fundraising concerts and perform for the Peace Corps and Embassy in Costa Rica in 2011. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall and Walt Disney Concert Hall as well as stages across Germany, Spain, and France.
The show was booked through a partnership with other New Mexico schools, as Take 3's Tuesday CCC show will be preceded by performances for Western New Mexico University on Thursday and New Mexico Tech on Sunday.
