Scouts hold awards banquet

CLOVIS — The El Llano Grande District of the Boy Scouts of America held its awards banquet virtually Feb. 3, with a dozen Clovis representatives taking 15 awards.

The district serves Curry, Roosevelt and De Baca counties.

Stephen Reynolds of Clovis was awarded the district’s Award of Merit, given to registered Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature at the district level. The following day, Reynolds received the Conquistador Council’s Silver Beaver award, marking those of exceptional character who have provided distinguished service within a council. The Conquistador Council encompasses all of southeastern New Mexico through four districts, including El Llano Grande.
