CLOVIS — A Clovis woman has been arrested on charges in connection to a Sunday drive-by shooting on Aspen Street.
Elizabeth Holt, 35, was booked into the Curry County Adult Detention Center Monday on charges of shooting at or from a motor vehicle and felon possession of a firearm or destructive device. She is currently held there without bond on a pretrial detention hold, with the matter to be heard this week in district court.
According to a criminal complaint filed Tuesday in Curry County Magistrate Court:
• An officer responded to the Clovis Apartments Sunday afternoon in reference to a possible stabbing and drive-by shooting. The officer spoke with Holt, the alleged stabbing victim, who showed superficial lacerations to her wrist and on her back.
• While the officer was on the scene, he was informed a records check of a vehicle suspected to be used in the drive-by shooting returned to Holt. The vehicle was towed, and Holt told the officer she would not be in any video footage of a drive-by shooting.
• A review of home security footage showed the vehicle in question, with a hand coming out of the passenger’s side window followed by five muzzle flashes.
• The officer noted Holt was wearing an ankle monitor, and a followup interview with her probation officer showed GPS data showed Holt on Aspen at the time of the shooting.
Sandra Gallagher was assigned to the case Thursday as a public defender, according to court records. An attempt to contact Gallagher Friday was unsuccessful.
