Clovis schools anounces Hall of Honors slates

CLOVIS — Two years worth of purple pride will be honored next month, as the Clovis Municipal Schools Foundation and Alumni Committee have announced their 2020 and 2021 slates for Hall of honors Awards.

The 10 award recipients will be honored at a 12:30 p.m. June 12 luncheon at the Clovis Civic Center.

The awards recognize and honor former graduates of Clovis High School whose achievements, strengths of character, and citizenship serve as models to inspire and challenge today's students.

The 2020 Hall of Honor inductees include:

• Leon Williams (class of 1937), posthumous award in business and industry.

• Becky Rowley (1982), government and service

• Ernie Kos (1975), government and service

• Chris Bryant (1969), Top Cat award for support of CMS

• Gary Hamilton (1971), Top Cat award

The 2021 inductees include:

• Gayla Brumfield (1971), business and industry

• Debbie Forster (1984), government and service

• Lee K. Howard (2001), sports and entertainment

• Anthony McClaren (1996), sports and entertainment
