Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
CLOVIS — The Clovis Police Department has observed an upswing in the use of off-highway recreation vehicles operating in city streets, alleys and lots.
The department anticipates that trend will continue as spring turns to summer and school breaks begin, and is responding with information about proper uses and places for the vehicles.
A brochure available from any CPD officer on duty or at businesses selling off-road vehicles includes information on the state and local laws covering the vehicles. Additionally, the brochure includes a QR code that links to a map of the city marking where the vehicles can be legally used.
