Airport to hold grand opening for terminal

CLOVIS — The Clovis Regional Airport will hold a grand opening Thursday for its upcoming Transportation Security Administration terminal, according to a city release.

The grand opening and ribbon cutting is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the airport, and will be streamed on the city’s Facebook page at facebook.com/cityofclovis.

The airport is anticipated to begin TSA service June 1. Currently, passengers on Essential Air Service carrier Denver Air Connections must be transported to the entrance at Denver International Airport, and passengers with connecting flights must go through TSA screening at DIA.
