Basketball camp set for June 15-17

PORTALES — The Lady Ram Basketball Fundamental Camp is scheduled for June 15-17 at the Portales High School gym.

The camp will have an afternoon session for girls entering grades 3-5 from 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m., followed by an evening session for girls entering grades 6-8 from 4:30 p.m.-7 p.m.

Registration, available on the first day of the camp, will be $45 for the elementary camp and $50 for the middle school camp. Discounts will be available for multiple campers in the same immediate family.

The camp will include individual instruction by Portales high school and junior high coaches, along with current and possibly former Ram basketball players. Each camper will receive a basketball and camp T-shirt. Campers should bring proper practice clothing. Water will be provided for campers who do not bring their own drink.

In order to give organizers an idea of what size camp to expect, families are asked to text PHS girls coach Wade Fraze at 575-607-5181 with each camper’s name and their upcoming grade.
