CLOVIS — No injuries were reported in a Monday night collision on the Norris Street railroad crossing.
Lena Kent, executive director of public relations for BNSF Railways, estimated the collision occurred at 8:48 p.m., and that the crossing was back open to traffic a little more than two hours later.
Kent said the passenger truck that was involved in the collision was not occupied at the time of the collision. Kent said BNSF wasn’t aware of how the truck ended up on the tracks, and doesn’t follow up in incidents when there are no apparent injuries.
No crew members aboard the train were injured, Kent said.
Messages left with the Clovis Police Department regarding the collision were not returned at press time Tuesday.
