Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
CLOVIS — The Clovis-Curry Chamber of Commerce has launched a Clovis Summer Challenge to encourage residents to explore Clovis by completing activities at various locations and businesses, according to a news release from the chamber.
The challenge competition began Friday and continues through Sept. 15.
The challenge specifies activities at selected locations throughout the city, which are called “adventures.” Participants can document completion of an activity by taking a photo, the news release stated.
The contest's official game card can be downloaded at allinclovis.com. Printed copies are also available at the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce at 105 E. Grand Ave., Clovis.
The first 200 people to complete 17 adventures and submit or verify their photos will win a branded prize bag, the news release said. Those who complete the challenge will also be entered into a drawing for a grand prize that includes two plane tickets provided by Denver Air Connection, based at Clovis Airport .
The contest is designed to “build momentum after launching the new Clovis community brand,” the news release stated.
"Clovis has so many opportunities to play outdoors and to shop local,” Clovis Mayor Mike Morris said in the news release. “Through this summer challenge, we hope to further engage residents, visitors, and our military families in the Clovis community to showcase some of the fun that Clovis has to offer."
