Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
The village of Melrose and city of Portales have scheduled water system work this week that will require shutting off service.
The Portales work will require Eastern New Mexico University to close campus on Tuesday.
On Monday, the west side of Melrose will have water shut off at 10 a.m. for the village’s Water Improvements Project, with service to resume after valves are installed. The Facebook post from the Village did not give an estimate of completion.
On Tuesday, the city of Portales is doing water line repairs on 17th Street. The work will require water be shut off for the entire campus, so ENMU has opted to cancel operations and classes. The university plans to resume normal operations 8 a.m. Wednesday.
