Cops & Kids makes return

CLOVIS — The Clovis Police Department, after holding off last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is bringing back its Cops & Kids Christmas Event.

The department has begun accepting donations, and will hold its first fundraising event 6:30 a.m.-8 a.m. Nov. 2 at Daylight Donuts in Clovis.

Donations can be dropped off at the CPD records office at 300 N. Connelly in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Cops & Kids 2021.” Checks should be made out to the Fraternal Order of Police.

Funds have been used in prior years to take children from families in need on a Christmas shopping spree with a CPD officer.

The department said a future release will detail the registration process for families.
