PORTALES — Eastern New Mexico University’s Golden Student Success Center was one of 75 facilities featured by Endeavor Business Media as an outstanding learning environment.
The magazine featuring EBM’s American School and University 2021 Education Awards Showcase is available online at http://www.schooldesigns.com.
Judging criteria includes spaces designed for student wellness and well-being, green spaces, features that improve security and maintenance, and faciilties that incorporate natural lighting.
The building houses the Golden Library, Runnels Gallery, and the offices of Distance Learning and Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction, and also features study spaces, wifi and an Einstein Bros. Bagels shop.
“We are immensely proud of the GSSC,” ENMU President Patrice Caldwell said. “From the first week it opened, the Golden Student Success Center has been a popular campus destination. The student and meeting spaces are welcoming and attractive. The wide range of services and resources, staffed by helpful staff, are assets to our campus.”
