Road work starting west of Elida

PORTALES — The Roosevelt County road department will begin work west of Elida on Monday that it anticipates will take about six weeks, according to a county release.

Work on South Roosevelt Road 19 from South Roosevelt AQ to South Roosevelt AV will include a resurfacing with the existing base course, with a target completion date of Dec. 16.

Motorists are asked to drive slowly in the work area and look out for equipment and personnel.
