City posts updated sign ordinance

CLOVIS — Ahead of its Thursday city commission meeting, the city of Clovis has posted an updated version of the sign ordinance it plans to discuss for potential approval.

The sign code, which was introduced in November, is available at cityofclovis.org/read-a-revised-draft-of-the-proposed-sign-code-ordinance/#page-content.

The Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a 10 a.m. Monday meeting to discuss the ordinance. A chamber release said the chamber is not against the idea of a sign ordinance or city beautification efforts, but business leaders have a series of issues with specific portions of the ordinance.
