Safety standards ahead on show

Information on Roman Shade safety standards and the importance of moderation and temperance versus dieting will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and at noon on Thurdsay.

Terrell Sundermann will give a brief overview of the latest Roman Shade safety standards, and then show how to convert an existing Roman shade to make it safety-compliant. Her business is Terrell Sundermann Designs in Castle Rock, Colo.

Spiritual master, Louix Dor Dempriey is going to talk about optimizing nutrition. He stresses that moderation and temperance are much more successful than obsessive, compulsive diets. He is the President/CEO of Louis Dor Dempriey Foundation in Laguna, Calif.

Information on color trends in decorating, making paintings using a travel iron and wax, and lifestyle changes that are easy to make will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” at noon Tuesday and 2 p.m. Thursday.

Beth Vesco-Smith, with PartyLite Gifts, Inc., in Plymouth, Mass., will talk about color trends in decorating as well as show how to make an impact by using candles and fragrances in the home.

Helen Hajjar, artist and designer, will show how to make beautiful paintings in minutes - with no painting skills required. All you need is a small travel iron and wax, and you can create interesting wax paintings in no time. She’s from Boynton Beach, Fla.

Dietitian and author, Pat Baird will discuss a variety of heart-healthy foods and talk about lifestyle changes that are easy to make. She lives in Greenwich, Conn.
