Hounds name McCall to football staff as defensive line coach

PORTALES — Eastern New Mexico University football coach Tye Hiatt has announced the hiring of Andre McCall as the Greyhounds’ defensive line coach.

“We are excited to have Andre join our staff,” Hiatt said. “He’s going to be a great addition to our coaching staff, and he’s already hit the ground running.”

McCall joins the staff after spending three seasons at Wayne State (Neb.) in the Division II Northern Sun Intercollegiat Conference. Last season, he helped the Wildcast post a 7-4 record.

“Coach Hiatt and (defensive coordinator) Jamison Bisch have been nothing short of amazing through the hiring process,” McCall said. Their vision for the Easernh New Mexico University football program made this an easy decision.”

Prior to that, McCall was the defensive coordinator at Webster County H.S. in Dixon Kentucky. He received his Bachelor’s degree in physical education at Kentucky State University in 2015.
