CLOVIS -- Police are investigating a one-car crash Saturday afternoon that left a 60-year-old woman dead.
Police did not identify the victim.
According to a police news release:
"On Saturday ... about 2:17 p.m., Officers of the Clovis Police Department and Clovis Fire/EMS personnel responded to the 1100 block of West Brady Avenue, Clovis, New Mexico, for a motor vehicle crash involving a single motor vehicle.
"On arrival, Officers noted a black in color Dodge car, overturned. The vehicle had crashed through a pipe fence, continued through a parking lot, becoming airborne, impacting another pipe fence, and ultimately settling on its roof. The driver, a 60-year-old female, is deceased."
The release did not state whether any passengers were in the vehicle. The CPD Crash Team was activated to investigate, the release said.
