RCCDC names executive director

Jodi Diaz, who was director of recreation for the city of Portales, has been named executive director of of the Roosevelt County Community Development Corporation, according to a press release from the RCCDC.

Diaz replaces Jim Lucero, who in late March stepped down as RCCDC’s executive director after negotiations to renew Lucero’s contract broke down.

In addition to her city job, Diaz has also instructed classes at Eastern New Mexico University since 2011, the news release stated.

”Diaz is well connected in our community and brings great enthusiasm and passion for Portales and rural Roosevelt County to her new role as the executive director,” the press release stated.
