An arrest warrant was issued Friday charging a juvenile in the July 9 homicide of Victor Davila, 22, of Friona.
According to a news release from Clovis Police Department Captain Robbie Telles, Davila was driving a black Dodge truck that rammed into a home in the 900 block of Connelly St. in the early morning hours of July 9. When he was removed from the vehicle by police and rescue personnel it was discovered he had a gunshot wound.
Davila was rushed to Plains Regional Medical Center where he died.
Also wounded in the Connelly Street incident were two women identified as Rebecca Diaz-Ramirez, 55, and Janeth Ramirez, 27, who were injured during the shooting. Both women were inside their home at 921 Connelly Street when injured. According to Telles, based on the investigation these two women were not targeted during the shooting but were innocent bystanders.
Telles said an arrest warrant was issued for the juvenile who will not be identified at this time but has been charged on the warrant with the following: Murder in the second degree, two counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or occupied building resulting in great bodily harm, a second-degree felony.
Additionally, a warrant was issued for Andrew Robles, 37. That warrant includes the charges of; possession of a firearm or destructive device by a felon and receiving stolen property (a firearm).
Alexis Edwards, 21, was arrested and charged as a result of this investigation with possession of a firearm or destructive device by a felon and tampering with evidence.
